Whether we want to admit it or not, today’s media and social media is a huge part of our children’s lives. Some of the side effects to the media and social media are good and some of the effects are bad as well. From what our children watch, play, and read media and social media are surrounding our children leaving them to filter through the good and the bad. Media in Infancy (ages; Birth to one year). â€Å"Children under the age of two spend 53 minutes a day watching TV. and only 23 minutes a day reading a book† Brian Wallace (2013). Infants watch and hear what their parents or caregivers watch and hear. Studies have shown that the first interaction with the media and social media is in infancy. so what our infants learn from the media and social media, whether good or bad, depends on what we as parents and caregivers are watching Media and Toddlers (From ages two to five years).
